The intensive exists because a single momentum line is a poor companion. RSI can sit oversold while price continues lower. MACD can cross while the swing that matters has not turned. Stochastic can pin at an extreme for a whole trend. Confirmation, in this room, means a second, independent mark — on price, on a second oscillator, or on the structure of the last swing — before anyone is allowed to describe an entry.

We teach at a table, not from a gallery of screens. Each person receives the same printed weekly charts. You draw. You wait. You speak only when the second mark is visible to your neighbour. That social pressure is deliberate: it is harder to invent confirmation when another trader is looking at the same paper.

Ellis Ward has run this sitting in East Rounton since the classroom opened. Priya Raman joined to keep the afternoon drill strict when the group starts to negotiate with the rule they wrote in the morning. The fee is £480, which covers both days, the chart pack, lunch, and the follow-up letter. It does not include a promise of profitable months. We teach how to wait; the market does not owe you a turn.

Who it is for

Private traders who already glance at RSI or MACD, yet still enter on the first oscillator twitch. You should be able to read a candlestick chart and keep a simple record of your last twenty decisions. This is not a first lesson in what a share is.

What you leave with

You leave with a written confirmation rule you can apply to your own weekly charts, a marked pack of worked examples, and the experience of saying an entry out loud only after the second mark is on the page.

Scope

The intensive stays inside momentum and confirmation. We work RSI, MACD (line, signal, histogram), stochastic, and rate of change as a supporting read. We do not cover options, order routing, tax, or stock picking as a research method.

On the table

  • Twelve printed weekly charts used as the shared canvas for both Saturdays
  • A one-page confirmation template you complete in the room
  • Tea, coffee, and a light lunch on both days
  • A follow-up letter within ten days with notes on the rule you wrote

Not included

  • Live brokerage accounts or trade placement during class
  • Software licences or charting subscriptions
  • One-to-one review of your full history (that is a separate journal reading)
  • Overnight accommodation

How the sitting runs

  1. Saturday one, morning

Each oscillator is drawn and named on paper. We mark where RSI, MACD, and stochastic would have spoken, then compare those marks with the actual swing.

  2. Saturday one, afternoon

Confirmation drill: no entry is spoken until a second, independent mark agrees. False agreements are kept on the page rather than erased.

  3. Between the Saturdays

You mark two of your own charts at home using the same pencils. Bring those sheets back. We do not ask you to place a live trade.

  4. Saturday two

Your sheets go on the table. The group tests whether your rule is specific enough to refuse a weak signal. We rewrite one clause if it is woolly.

Preparation

Bring a pencil, a ruler, and printed weekly charts for two markets you actually follow. If you have a journal, bring the last month. Leave the default indicator settings as they are — we will discuss them, not hide them.

Constraints

Eight seats. You must attend both Saturdays; a missed first day cannot be patched with notes. The room is on the ground floor. If you need a printed pack in large type, say so when you enquire.

Who teaches

Ellis Ward leads the mornings. Priya Raman runs the afternoon confirmation drill.

The next step

Write to us with the two Saturdays you can keep free. We confirm the seat by letter and take a £120 deposit to hold it.
