Your letters and lists
Privacy
This notice explains how Tech Canvas Point uses personal information when you enquire, book, attend, or send a journal. It sits beside the cookie note.
Data controller
The controller is Tech Canvas Point, 95 Ockham Road East Rounton DL6 4PP United Kingdom. Email info@techcanvaspoint.digital. Telephone 07809154637.
What we collect
From the enquiry form: name, email, programme of interest, preferred date, and the message you write. From booking: the same, plus deposit or fee records. From a sitting: attendance, and any charts or journal pages you choose to leave with us. From email or telephone: whatever you choose to send. We do not ask for account numbers, passwords, or medical details, and you should not include them.
Why we use it
We use this information to answer you, to hold a seat, to run the sitting, to send the follow-up letter, and to keep accounts. The legal bases are contract (to provide the sitting you asked for) and legitimate interests (to keep a record of what was taught and to defend a dispute). Where we rely on consent — for example an optional note about a future intensive — you may withdraw it.
Retention
Enquiry messages that do not become a booking are kept for twelve months and then deleted. Booking, attendance, and fee records are kept for six years for accounting and complaint handling. Marked journal copies are kept only if you asked us to retain a copy, and then for twelve months after the letter is sent, unless you ask us to return or destroy them sooner.
Sharing
We do not sell lists. We may share what is necessary with an accountant, a payment provider if one is used for a deposit, or a lawyer if a dispute arises. If we hire a room in Northallerton, the venue may see a first name on a door list. We do not put your journal on a classroom table for others unless you bring it yourself to a group sitting.
International transfers
Our email and any web host may store copies on servers outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK GDPR, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses, or we keep the transfer limited to what the enquiry requires.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where the law allows, object to legitimate-interest use, or restrict processing. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise a right, write to the address or email above. We may need to confirm it is you.
Children
Sittings are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
